Hope of Glory Care
Frequently asked questions

Questions? We've got answers.

Everything participants and families ask us most, from NDIS eligibility and funding types to our own policies. Can't find what you need? Get in touch and we'll answer it directly.

Getting started

How do I know if I'm eligible for the NDIS?

Broadly, the NDIS is for Australian citizens, permanent residents or Protected Special Category Visa holders, under 65 when they first apply, who have a permanent and significant disability that affects their everyday activities (or who meet the scheme's early intervention requirements).

Only the NDIA (the agency that runs the NDIS) can make an official eligibility decision, this is general information, not a determination. Try our quick eligibility checker on the Tools & Resources page for a first read, or get in touch and we'll help you work out next steps.

How do I start receiving supports from Hope of Glory Care?

Send us an enquiry through the website, or call us on 0404 391 083. Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm · enquiries answered within 24 hours. We'll have a relaxed conversation about your goals and needs, confirm what's in your plan, and put together a service agreement before any support begins.

What is a Service Agreement, and do I have to sign one?

A Service Agreement is a plain English document that sets out what supports we'll provide, how often, and at what cost, so everyone knows what to expect before support starts. Most NDIS providers use one, including us. We'll walk you through it together and answer every question before you sign anything.

How quickly can support start once I get in touch?

We respond to every enquiry within 24 hours. How quickly support actually begins depends on your plan, the type of support you need, and our roster availability. We'll always be upfront about timing rather than promise a date we can't meet.

Funding & plan management

What's the difference between agency managed, plan managed and self managed funding?

Agency managed (NDIA managed): the NDIA pays providers directly; you can generally only use NDIS registered providers.

Plan managed: an independent plan manager pays invoices on your behalf and handles the paperwork, and you can generally choose registered or unregistered providers.

Self managed: you pay providers yourself and claim it back, giving you the most flexibility along with the most admin.

Hope of Glory Care is a registered NDIS provider, so we work with all three arrangements.

Do you charge more than the NDIS price guide?

No. Every service is delivered at NDIS NSW price list rates. What you're quoted is what you're charged, with no surprise extra costs.

What are Core, Capacity Building and Capital Supports funding?

Core Supports are the most flexible category: everyday supports like personal care, household tasks and community participation.

Capacity Building funds supports that build your independence and skills over time, such as support coordination or therapy style supports.

Capital Supports cover higher cost items like assistive technology or home modifications, and are the most restrictive category.

Our budget estimator on the Tools & Resources page can help you check how far a Core Supports budget stretches.

Can my funding run out, and what happens if it does?

Yes. Funding is finite and allocated for a set plan period. We'll always let you know if your usage looks like it's tracking ahead of schedule, well before it becomes a problem, so you can talk to your planner or plan manager about options.

Our services & team

What areas do you service?

We're based at 113A Medley Avenue, Liverpool NSW and primarily service Liverpool & South West Sydney. If you're just outside that area, get in touch anyway. We may still be able to help, or point you to someone who can.

Can I choose who supports me?

We do our best to match you with a support worker who suits your personality, needs and routine, and to keep that same person consistent wherever possible. If a match isn't working for you, tell us and we'll work with you to find someone better suited.

Are your support workers qualified?

Yes. Our team is trained, assessed and held to clinical standards set by our founder and director, a Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Educator with 20 years' experience. Every worker is screened and inducted before they support a participant.

Do you provide interpreters or support in other languages?

Yes. Free, NDIS funded interpreting is available in your language. Just let us know your preferred language when you get in touch and we'll arrange it.

Policies you can rely on

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a shift?

Let us know as early as you can. Our office will confirm the notice period that applies to your specific service agreement, since NDIS cancellation rules can vary by support type. We'd always rather hear from you early than have you worry about it.

What if I'm not happy with my support?

Tell us directly and we'll act on it. Call 0404 391 083 or email mjosepharmistice@yahoo.com.au. If you'd prefer an independent channel, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission also handles complaints about NDIS providers.

Is Hope of Glory Care a registered NDIS provider?

Yes. We're a registered NDIS provider, which means we meet the NDIS Practice Standards audited by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
